A style which the more I dig into, the more I like it. Plus the weirdest thing is that I don’t particularly like super low cars. No Stance Nation nonsense for me.
I guess everybody has a guilty pleasure and I could do a lot worse than stupidly low luxury cars with ginormous wheels. Also I know it’s supposed to be Japanese cars but I like Jags, so deal with it.

The best part about VIP is that it’s usually on airbags or hydraulics that can be adjusted, and on cars that otherwise have no track pretenses and are clearly designed for highway driving... which airbags are good for!
If VIP means that a bunch of 90s JDM Luxo-barges are kept in immaculate shape and given super comfortable suspension that can be lowered for car shows, well, who am I to judge?
It’s the stanced cars that are sports/semi-sports cars on cut/welded springs with insane negative camber and massive rims that really suck. Not so bad if it’s done tastefully without making the car unusable on normal roads but.... still.

I didn’t know about it until recently when I got in a rather animated discussion with someone on the FP who was excited about getting a ‘90s Honda sedan and fitting it out with big, blocky rims, chrome bits, and other things that didn’t disguise the fact it was just a Honda sedan. He was extremely adamant about how great the style was, and I didn’t really see/get it.
